New today: two maintenance windows
A September 17 notice lists Tribunals Ontario Portal outages on Friday, September 18, from 5:30–7:30 p.m., and Sunday, September 20, from 3:30–6:30 a.m. Check the live notice before filing. Plan uploads ahead and retain filing confirmations; do not assume maintenance extends a deadline.
Upcoming: use the new N4 from September 21
The LTB's reference copy of the new N4 must not be used before September 21. It requires a termination date at least seven days after the notice is given. Check service requirements when calculating dates. An N4 does not itself authorize eviction; the landlord must follow the LTB process.
Already effective: 15 days to request review
The reduction from 30 to 15 days took effect July 1, 2026. It is not a new September 21 change. Review is distinct from a court appeal; assess the applicable grounds and deadline promptly after receiving an order.
