The published scores are Alberta EOI scores, not CRS
The AAIP table lists the minimum score of the candidates invited. It is a score in Alberta's own expression of interest (EOI) system. Even where the pathway is linked to Express Entry, it is not the federal Comprehensive Ranking System score.
The AAIP also says that the EOI score is not the only factor it uses to select candidates, so it can select according to labour-market priorities and information in a candidate's EOI. A candidate at or above a published minimum is not guaranteed an invitation in a later draw.
Each pathway keeps its own eligibility rules
The Dedicated Health Care Pathway is for eligible regulated health professionals with qualifying Alberta employment. The Accelerated Tech Pathway requires a valid Express Entry profile, a qualifying tech occupation and Alberta employment. The Alberta Opportunity Stream is generally for eligible temporary foreign workers already working in Alberta in a qualifying occupation. The requirements are set out on the AAIP website.
An invitation does not replace the rules on work authorization, language, occupation, licensing, job offer, employer or Express Entry status. Candidates should confirm that every requirement is still met before submitting a full application.
