B.C. issues 16 invitations at a provincial score of 54

On October 15, 2026, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued 16 invitations under the Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support Initiative. The selection was points-based and the minimum registration score was 54.

The score is a BC PNP registration score, not an Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System score. An invitation allows a candidate to submit a provincial application; it is not yet a nomination or permanent-residence approval.

The temporary initiative has narrow employment criteria

The official BC PNP guide describes this as a temporary initiative for current direct employees of B.C. health authorities working in eligible rural or remote locations. The listed occupations are security guards and related security service occupations (NOC 64410), light duty cleaners (NOC 65310), and janitors, caretakers and heavy-duty cleaners (NOC 65312).

Applicants must satisfy the full published criteria, including the required employment history and other stream requirements. The guide states that the Express Entry BC option is not available for this initiative.

Saskatchewan's trucking intake reached its 150-position limit

Saskatchewan's live SINP table now records all 150 trucking positions from the September 14 intake as used and says the limit was reached on October 10, 2026. The retail window has used 137 of 175 positions, leaving 38. The accommodation and food-services windows remain full.

These are employer-position intake limits, not invitation or nomination totals. Each requested position counts toward the relevant cap, and a recorded position does not by itself confirm that a worker has received a provincial nomination.
