India Continues to Lead as the Top Source of New Canadian Immigrants in 2023

According to recent immigration statistics, India remains the top source of new Canadian immigrants in the first two quarters of 2023. Over 84,000 people from India have made Canada their new home, followed by China, Philippines, and Nigeria.
📈 The total number of new immigrants welcomed by Canada in the first half of 2023 reached 263,180, marking a 12.5% increase compared to the same period in 2022.

🎯 Canada has set a goal of welcoming 431,645 new immigrants in 2023. With the strong influx in the first half of the year, it is likely that this target will be met or exceeded.
